- there was 8 inches or so of snow on the ground, and the non-primary entryways were not shoveled.

Always my favorite place to stay in the Northern Berkshires. The rooms are spacious and warm. The staff is awesome (Shout out to Michelle at the front desk, and Mike behind the bar in Gala!) Housekeeping is impeccable. The "Living Room" aka lobby is beautiful. Looking out at the courtyard while it's snowing is wonderful. The restaurant is terrific, and the Gray Goose martinis are the best. Stay here. Don't waste your money anywhere else.

Excellent diverse menu. A lot of different things from rabbit to buffalo and everything in between. The ingredients are fresh and the food is delicious.
I took my best friend there for a Birthday dinner and I've never had an experience close to this.
- coffee was the only included breakfast amenity, and it ran out. There was only coffee mate, no actual cream/milk
- cookies delivered in the afternoon
- the keycard lock to the entry closest to our room was broken, and no one fixed it for the 3 days we were here
Pros:
They treated us both like kings / Carringtons! Lol. Our server made sure that we had everything we needed but she never felt intrusive. I won't try to explain the food, it was so delicious I'd never have enough time to tell you.
Beautiful hotel, hidden jewel. Very good food but service can be disorganized. Good bartender. Hotel can use updates despite the elegance.
You need to try this restaurant should you find yourself in this area. Well worth it
- heating system sounds like a 747 taking off in the closet

- the squeaky floors make the upstairs guests’ morning routine impossible to sleep through
